XL Delete

XL Delete 1.7 is a file tool that permanently deletes files and folders using a powerful wipe engine.

This utility can permanently remove any type of file, folders and also delete your Internet Explorer and Firefox cookies, history, temporary and cache files. When you delete files or empty the recycle bin such files are still on your hard drive due to the delete process that Windows use, so with a special tool or utility you can recover those “deleted” files. XL Delete really gets rid of all the files from your hard drive and you don’t have to worry if someone tries to recover them.
This utility has many options to make easy the delete process; you can use the Delete Wizard to delete your files or you can simply click the right’s mouse button over any file or folder and select the option Remove with XL Delete. Also it has the option to free space from any hard disk drive or even any removable drive. Another utility’s great feature is that can lock free space on any fixed or removable drive; a free space lock is basically a secure space on your hard drive to prevent any files from being written to that area. You can select the percentage of the space that you want to lock.
This tool provides the following wipe methods to clean and delete files: Gutmann, DoD-7, NAVSO RLL, NAVSO MFM, VSITR, Schneier, NATO, Gutmann subset, DoD-3, AFSSI5020, Random and Quick.
Its GUI is friendly and easy to use; this tool includes documentation that guides and helps you with the usage of every feature. The installation process is very easy to perform and it requires the Microsoft .NET Framework (Version 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0).
XL Delete works on Windows 2000, Windows XP (including x64), Windows Server 2003 (including x64), and Windows Vista platforms.
